The Mini Kelly 20 in Gris Perle and Béton ostrich is a study in considered contrast. The body, rendered in soft grey-pearl ostrich with its characteristic quill-follicle texture, is framed by smooth Béton leather trim and a single structured top handle - a two-tone composition that rewards close attention.
Ostrich is among the most supple of the exotic leathers, draping differently to lizard or alligator while sharing the same designation of rarity. The Gris Perle and Béton pairing sits at the cooler end of the palette - understated in natural light, quietly distinguished at closer range. Palladium hardware brings a contemporary luminosity that complements both tones without competing with either.
The 20 cm format suits the collector who carries precisely what is needed: a Kelly scaled to the essentials, worn on the single top handle or via the detachable shoulder strap. The silhouette is unchanged from the original Sac à dépêches of the 1930s. The configuration, however, is far from ordinary.
