The Kelly 32 in Retourné construction - softer, interior-stitched, and more relaxed in silhouette than the Sellier - here appears in one of its most distinctive specifications: a tri-colour ostrich composition in Étrusque, Mousse, and Marron Foncé, with Ghillies brogue-punched detailing at the corners and front panel edges.
Ostrich leather is among the most prized materials in the Hermès leathergoods portfolio. The visible quill follicles are a hallmark of provenance, and the suppleness of the hide gives the Retourné construction a particular depth of character. The Ghillies detailing - perforated brogue ornamentation applied to a Kelly - is a rare configuration that has appeared in limited contexts; it is not a standard catalogue option.
The Permabrass hardware provides a brushed, warm-toned complement to the camel and brown tones of the ostrich, while the Mousse accent introduces a quieter contrast. This is a piece conceived for a collector with a considered eye.
