The Hermès Jungle Love in the 140cm format - a large-scale carré in satin-finish silk with a white ground and cobalt blue print. The composition places two adult leopards and a cub among dense tropical foliage, exotic birds, and a floral border, all contained within a fine cobalt rolled edge. At this scale, the narrative detail of the design - rarely appreciated in the 90cm version - becomes fully legible.
The satin-finish silk gives the surface a quieter lustre than the standard twill, making the Jungle Love motif appear almost painterly. The 140cm format is worn most naturally as a shawl or large head wrap, though collectors frequently display it as a framed textile given the composition's visual weight.
This example is unworn and unboxed, in flawless condition. Jungle Love in the 140cm configuration appears infrequently on the authenticated resale market; the white and cobalt colourway is among the more restrained and wearable of the editions produced.
