The Hermès Horse Saddle in Himalaya Matte Niloticus is among the most extraordinary objects the maison has ever produced. Executed in matte Niloticus crocodile leather - the same material reserved for the rarest Birkin and Kelly configurations - the Himalaya gradation moves from warm ivory at the centre panels to a cool grey-brown at the edges, a colouration achieved through a precise and closely guarded process. Palladium hardware throughout: the stirrup buckles, cantle fittings, and skirt details share the same cool silver tone, lending the piece a composed, architectural coherence.
Designed for the serious equestrian collector, this saddle occupies a singular position: it is both a fully functional piece of riding equipment and a collector-grade object of exceptional rarity. The carved pommel and cantle, knee roll panel, and stirrup leather slot are formed to exacting equestrian standards.
