The Chaîne d'Ancre is one of the house's most enduring jewellery designs - the anchor-link motif first rendered in silver in 1938, now executed here in 18k rose gold with pavé diamond-set links throughout. The result is a necklace of considerable presence worn at choker length: the warm tone of the rose gold and the brilliance of the diamonds are balanced by the architectural regularity of the chain itself. This is fine jewellery in the collector sense - a piece that carries both provenance and craftsmanship. It is suited to formal evenings, significant occasions, and the kind of wardrobe built over decades rather than seasons. The Enchainé configuration, with its fully diamond-set links, represents the apex of this line. Pieces at this level of specification rarely appear in the authenticated resale market.
