The Birkin Shadow in Menthe is among the most distinctive releases in the Birkin's recent archive. The Shadow programme replaces the standard metal hardware with tone-on-tone embossed detailing - no exposed palladium or gold, no contrast at the clasp or strap buckles. The result is a silhouette that reads as a single, continuous object: the structure of the Birkin rendered in pure form, without interruption. Menthe - a cool, clear mint green - is produced in Swift leather, a smooth, supple calfskin that carries colour with particular fidelity. The tone-on-tone approach amplifies this: the embossed hardware detailing emerges from the same surface rather than sitting above it, creating depth through texture rather than material contrast. At 25 cm, the Shadow Birkin in Menthe is a compact, considered piece. Double rolled top handles, structured silhouette, no exposed metal. Condition is excellent.
