The Birkin 20 Faubourg "Rainy Days" in Gris Misty is not a bag that requires context for those who collect at this level - but the detail is worth stating precisely. The miniature Birkin silhouette serves here as a canvas for an architectural trompe-l'oeil: the facade of 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré rendered in slate, cream, and black across a matte Niloticus crocodile upper and Épsom leather lower body, with an orange awning accent positioned with characteristic wit. Gold-tone hardware, an orange leather clochette, and a matching padlock complete the construction.
This is an edition produced for collectors, not for wear in the conventional sense. Its scale - 20cm - and the complexity of its exterior appliqué place it firmly within the category of wearable archive.
