The Kelly Pochette in Doblis - Hermès's term for their finest suede - is a seldom-encountered configuration. Doblis was produced in limited quantities and has been largely discontinued, making any surviving piece a genuine archive find. This example in turquoise presents the suede at its most vivid: a saturated, cool blue that sits apart from the house's more familiar colour palette. The Kelly Pochette's compact envelope silhouette shares the architectural language of the full-size Kelly - the strap and bar closure, the palladium turn-lock clasp, the precise flat-handle construction - distilled into a form intended for evening and occasion wear. At this scale and in this material, the piece crosses the boundary between accessory and collector object.
