The Bolide holds a singular place in the Hermès archive. First introduced in 1923, it was among the earliest handbags designed with a zip closure - a then-novel fastening that became a signature of the house's engineering instinct. The 25 cm iteration is the most compact expression of the silhouette: rounded, structured, and quietly authoritative.
This piece is crafted in Evercolor leather - a matte, fine-pebbled calfskin prized for its scratch resistance and colour consistency. The gold brown exterior carries a warm, tawny depth that reads differently in natural and artificial light. White contrast saddle stitching traces the exterior seams, referencing the equestrian heritage at the heart of Hermès' craft. The Anemone purple interior - a vivid, collector-noted detail - makes this a rare and deliberate configuration.
Gold-tone hardware is clean and unscratched. Blind stamp B confirms production date. Dual rolled top handles and a removable flat shoulder strap allow the bag to move between formal and relaxed settings with ease.
