The Haut à Courroies - the HAC - predates the Birkin itself, originally conceived as a tall travel bag for riding boots and equipment. The 40 cm format is the most capacious of the current configurations, combining genuine utility with the structural authority the silhouette has always carried. This example pairs black Togo leather with a charcoal wool body panel, finished with yellow and black striped strap detailing at the closures and palladium hardware throughout. The mixed-material construction is a rare departure from the standard all-leather format, placing this piece firmly in collector-grade territory.
